  • By Car

    We are located in Hitchin, on the corner of Bancroft and Fishponds Road.

    From the North

    Head south on Ickleford Road. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Bancroft and the centre will be on your right.

    From the East

    Head west on Nightingale Road/A505 then towards Florence Street. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit and stay on Nightingale Road/A505. At the next roundabout take the 1st exit onto Bancroft and the centre will be on your right.

    From the South

    Head north on Old Park Road/A505 towards Bedford Road. Continue straight onto Bedford Road/A505, then continue to follow A505. At the roundabout take the 3rd exit onto Bancroft and the centre will be on your right.

  • By Bus

    The nearest bus stop is The Phoenix PH, which is outside the centre.

    Buses serving this stop are 71, 72, 80, 81A, 97, 98, 188  and 190.

    There is also another bus stop directly across the road with a seated area to wait.

  • By Rail

    Hitchin station is approximately 0.6 miles from the centre.

    To connect from the station, take the number 89 bus from Bus Stop E outside the station to Bancroft near The Venue Pub, which is outside the centre.

Consultation Centre opens: 8:30am

When you arrive

Please remember to bring two forms of ID and your appointment letter with you.

Please press the call button on the keypad outside the centre.

A receptionist will release the door for you.

Other helpful info

There is a drop-off point directly outside the centre if coming by taxi or by car. This centre has step-free access. An accessible toilet is available.

Parking

There is no parking at the centre.

Two long stay pay and display car parks are a short distance from the centre with free parking for valid disabled badge holders.

There is a pay and display car park at Sainsbury’s behind these two car parks, but you can claim back if shopping at Sainsbury’s.
