• By Car

  From the M5 and A361 to Pilton Causeway/B3149 in Barnstaple

  Head southeast on Sidmouth Rd/A376. At the roundabout, take the 4th exit onto the M5  slip road to Taunton/Honiton/Barnstaple/Airport and merge onto the M5. At junction 27 take the A361/A38 exit to Barnstaple/Tiverton/Wellington.

  At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto the A361 . At the next roundabout, take the 2nd exit and stay on the A361.

  At the next roundabout, take the 3rd exit and stay on the A361. At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Eastern Ave/A39. Continue to follow the A39. Go through 2 roundabouts.

  At the next roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Belle Meadow Rd/A39. At the next roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Alexandra Rd/A39 and continue to follow the A39.

  Go through another roundabout. Take N Walk B3233 to Tuly Street. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Pilton Causeway/B3149. At the next roundabout, continue straight onto N Walk/B3233.

  Turn left onto Tuly Street and Barnstaple Central Library is on the left.

• By Bus

  Buses 10, 10A, 19, 21, 21C, 8, 8A and 9 stop at Queens Theatre (Stop C) on Boutport Street  approximately 0.2 miles  from the centre.

  Head north on Boutport Street towards Butchers Row. Turn left onto Butchers Row, then right onto High Street. Turn left towards Tuly Street, then right onto Tuly Street. The library is on your left.

• By Rail

  Barnstaple station is approximately 0.7 miles from the centre.

  As there are no direct connections to the centre we recommend taking a taxi from outside the station.

  Please contact Customer Services before you travel to ensure that your taxi fare will be reimbursed.

Useful Information

Consultation centre opens: 9.30am (Wednesday 10.00am)

When you arrive

Please remember to bring two forms of ID and your appointment letter with you.

Once you enter the library please look out for the signs directing you to the PIP waiting area where your health professional will collect you at your appointment time. 

Other helpful info

The centre is located inside Barnstaple Library and is not located on the ground floor. If
you are unable to access a non-ground floor room, please call Customer Services on 0800 188 4881.

There is an accessible toilet available and the centre has step-free access.

Parking

There is pay and display parking and disabled parking adjacent to the building.
