  • By Car

    We are located just outside Carlisle city centre, close to the Denton Holme Trade Centre. Due to current works, there will be no access to the South end of Milbourne Street from Charlotte Street. Diversions are in place to navigate you to use the North end of Milbourne Street for site access from Bridge Street (A595). If you get lost please give the Centre team a call and they’ll happily direct you.

    From Hardwicke Circus roundabout

    Follow the signs for the city centre to exit the roundabout onto Castle Way. At the traffic lights, turn left onto Shaddongate. At the next set of lights, turn left onto Junction Street. When you reach the church, turn left onto Milbourne Crescent.

    Continue onto Milbourne Street and Bourne House is on your right.

  • By Bus

    The nearest bus stop is on Junction Street, approximately 0.1 miles from the centre. This stop is served by the number 69 bus towards Holme Heath.

  • By Train

    Carlisle station is approximately 0.7 miles from the centre.

    To connect to the centre, exit the station out towards Botchergate. At bus stop Stand B outside Cumbria County Council, take the 67 bus to the stop opposite Sainsbury’s on Bridge Street. Walk back past Shaddongate and turn next right into Milbourne Street. The centre is approximately 0.2 miles along on your left.

Consultation Centre opens: 8.30am.

When you arrive 

Remember to bring two forms of ID and your appointment letter with you. 

Please let the receptionist know that you have arrived for your PIP consultation. 

Other helpful info 

Step-free access is available to the left of the building (at the end of the car park). An accessible toilet is available. 

Parking 

There is a limited number of free parking spaces in front of the centre. Disabled parking is at the bottom left-hand side of the car park. A drop-off point is located outside the main entrance. Additional on street parking is available on Milbourne Street. Parking discs are available from reception – these entitle you to 2 hours of free parking.
